It's a visualiser, not a music video
Almost every complaint about Suno's video export comes from the same misunderstanding. People hear "Suno makes a video for your song" and picture something with scenes, cuts and lyrics. What you actually get is your cover art, held still, with the track underneath and a light animated treatment over the top.
That's not a criticism - it's a perfectly good way to get a song onto a platform that requires a video file, which is most of them. But if you download it expecting a music video, you will be disappointed, and no downloader tool anywhere can fix that, because the file simply doesn't contain more than this.

Good enough for
- YouTube uploads. The platform needs a video file; this is the least-effort way to give it one.
- Archiving a track with its artwork in a single file you can play anywhere.
- Sharing in a group chat or on a timeline where a playable card beats an audio attachment.
- A placeholder while you have something better made.
Not good enough for
- TikTok, Reels or Shorts. Wrong shape, and a still frame loses people in about three seconds.
- Anything with lyrics on screen. There is no lyric video option, at any tier.
- A release you're promoting. If the song matters, the video is worth making properly.
- Editing. It's a flattened render - you can't separate the art from the audio afterwards.
Downloading it takes about four seconds
There is no separate Suno video downloader to install, and there never has been. The export lives in the same menu as every other format, on the desktop site at suno.com.

Find the song
Open your Library or Workspace on suno.com. If you generated the track while signed out, it isn't in either - anonymous generations can be lost for good.
Open the triple-dot menu
Click the ⋯ icon on the track, then hover Download. A submenu lists the formats your plan allows.
Choose Video
Pick Video and the MP4 lands in your normal downloads folder, named after the song. Suno doesn't ask where to put it.
Or grab several at once
Ctrl-click (Cmd on Mac) or Shift-click a range, right-click any highlighted song and choose Download All. You get a ZIP.
Suno's help centre is blunt about the free tier: "Free plan users currently only get one option: the Download button will generate a lightweight mp3." So if you're on the free plan and hunting for a Suno video downloader, this is why the option isn't there - and no third-party site can grant you a format your account doesn't have.
The video is free if you've already downloaded the song
From 3 September 2026 downloads become a hard allowance - 7 for the lifetime of a free account, 20 a month on Pro, 60 a month on Premier. Reasonably enough, people assume that grabbing the MP3, the WAV, the stems and the video for one track burns four of those. It doesn't, and Suno's own Upcoming Changes FAQ says so plainly.
One song counts as one download, no matter how many files you take
So the MP4, the WAV, the MP3 and all twelve stems of the same track are one download between them. And per the same FAQ, downloading a song you've already downloaded doesn't consume any more of your allowance - so coming back a month later for the video costs nothing.
The practical instruction that falls out of this: when you decide a track is worth spending a download on, take every format you might ever want in that one session. There's no saving to be made by holding back, and there's a real cost to discovering later that you need a WAV for a distributor and a video for YouTube.
Four files, one song, one download counted against your allowance.
Free accounts are a special case. Suno describes the free allowance as "up to 7 total (lifetime) trial downloads for personal, non-commercial use only" - so it isn't just small, it carries no commercial rights whatever format you pick. 16:9 in a 9:16 world
Suno's MP4 comes out landscape, in one fixed aspect ratio, with no export options. That was the right default when video meant YouTube. It's the wrong default for where most music discovery now happens, and it is the single biggest reason the file underwhelms people.

About the "Suno video downloader" sites
Search that phrase and you'll find a dozen sites offering to turn a Suno link into an MP4. We don't link to them or name them, and it isn't squeamishness - it's that on this particular job they can't beat the built-in export on any axis that matters.
What they can't do
- Reach a private song. They work from public share links. Anything you haven't published is invisible to them.
- Improve the video. They're re-serving the same render Suno made. A ripped 16:9 still is still a 16:9 still.
- Carry your commercial licence. Under the September 2026 terms, commercial use is conditioned on a permitted download - one taken through Suno, on a paid plan.
- Give a free account a paid format. If your plan has no video option, no external site can conjure one.
What they might cost you
- Your credentials. Anything asking you to sign in with your Suno, Google or Discord account is asking for the keys, not for a file.
- Re-encoded audio. A second lossy pass over an already-lossy stream. Audible on anything better than a phone speaker.
- Your account. Automated scraping of the service is the kind of thing terms of service exist to prohibit.
- The usual ad-tech tax. Fake download buttons, push-notification prompts, and an installer you didn't ask for.
The one legitimate niche is the person who has no account at all and wants a copy of someone else's publicly shared song. That's a real use case, and it's also the one where you should be asking whether the person who made it is happy for you to take it - the September community guidelines added explicit rules about redistributing other people's work.

How do I download a Suno video?
On the desktop site, open your Library or Workspace, click the ⋯ icon on the track, hover Download and choose Video. The MP4 goes to your normal downloads folder. No tool to install.
Why is there no Video option in my menu?
Almost always because you're on the free plan. Suno's help centre states that free users get MP3 only. The other common causes are using the mobile app instead of suno.com, or a very old track generated before the video render existed.
Does the video count against my download limit?
Only once per song. Suno's FAQ says "one song counts as one download, regardless of format", and re-downloading a track you've already taken doesn't use more of your allowance. Grab every format you might want in one go.
What resolution and aspect ratio is it?
Landscape 16:9, at a modest resolution, with no export settings to change either. It's built for YouTube rather than for vertical feeds.
Can I get a vertical version for TikTok?
Not from Suno. You'd crop it yourself, or better, build a proper looping video at 9:16. Cropping a still frame to vertical gets you a still frame in a swipe feed, which is the actual problem.
Does the video have lyrics on screen?
No. There is no lyric-video option at any tier. The MP4 is cover art plus audio - if you want words on screen you're making that in a video editor.
Can I download someone else's Suno video?
If they've published it, third-party sites will scrape the public page - but you'd be redistributing someone's work, and Suno's August 2026 community guidelines tightened the rules on exactly that. Ask them, or use the share link.
Can I monetise the video on YouTube?
Only if the underlying song qualifies: a paid plan, original work, and - under the September 2026 terms - a permitted download. A video ripped from a share link satisfies none of that.
Is there an official Suno video downloader app?
No. There's no desktop program and no browser extension from Suno. Anything presenting itself as "the official Suno downloader" isn't. The export is a menu item inside the web app.
Could Suno turn video downloads off?
It has happened elsewhere. When Udio settled with Universal in October 2025 it disabled downloads of audio, video and stems, and exports are still off. That's the argument for exporting the things you care about now rather than trusting a library to stay reachable.

Take every format in one session
One song is one download however many files you pull, and re-downloading later is free. The only expensive mistake is deciding a track wasn't worth a download and changing your mind after the month rolls over.
