Suno - AI Music & Songs Maker
There is exactly one official Android app. It's published by Suno, Inc. under the package name com.suno.android, it's free to install, and everything else calling itself a Suno app is somebody else's.
What changed in 2026
Suno shipped continuously through 2026, and an unusual share of it landed on mobile rather than the web. In date order, with the ones that actually reach your Android phone marked.
Studio levels up Web only
The first big Studio expansion. Notable here mainly because it set the pattern for the year: the deepest production features live in a desktop browser, and the app stays the fast creative front end.
v5.5: Voices, Custom Models and My Taste On Android
The flagship model release, and the biggest single change to what your phone generates. More expressive vocals, Custom Models trained on your own catalogue, and My Taste quietly learning your preferred genres and applying them through the Magic Wand.
Android Auto Android exclusive
Suno appears in your car's native interface. Browse your library, stream your own songs and control playback from the dashboard - the one feature on this list that Android got and iPhone got separately via CarPlay on the same day.
Mobile app improvements On Android
The biggest quality-of-life release of the year. A modernised UI and refreshed Explore; a Vocal Gender selector in Create; Memory, which keeps your last prompt so you can refine instead of retyping; and a Lyrics Model Selector. Profiles gained cover images, bios, social links, playlists, and up to five pinned favourites with captions.
Stem separation improvements On Android
Cleaner splits across the full 12-stem set. You can request stems from the app; they arrive in your Library as individual tracks.
Custom soccer anthems Mobile only
Answer four questions about your team and Suno writes it a song. A gimmick, but a mobile-exclusive one - and a decent demonstration of how far guided prompting has come.
Lyrics improvements and the Duration slider Web only
Two useful controls that did not come to mobile. If you need to set an exact song length, you're on the website - in the app you get whatever the model decides.
Cover art improvements On Android
Better generated artwork, which matters more than it sounds - the cover is what travels with the MP4 video export and onto your profile.
Voices lands on Android Big one
The headline v5.5 feature finally reached mobile. Record your voice once, then sing on any song you make. Available to free accounts too, with more capability on paid plans. It requires app version 1.83.0 or later - refresh the app if the option isn't showing.
Studio 2.0 Desktop browser only
MIDI support, an AI chat bar, custom plugins and uncapped project exports - and explicitly not available on mobile devices. Suno's own requirements list a 768px minimum screen width. Your phone will not run it.
Installing and making your first song
Three minutes, no sideloading, no account juggling. If you already use Suno on the web, sign in with the same method you signed up with - a Google sign-in and an email sign-in on the same address are two different accounts, and your library only lives in one of them.
Get it from Google Play
Search Suno in the Play Store, or go straight to com.suno.android. Check the developer line reads Suno, Inc. before you tap Install - the store is full of AI music apps with confusingly similar names and icons.
It's a ~31 MB download and free to install. Nothing is paywalled until you run out of daily credits.
Describe it, or hum it
The Create tab takes a text prompt, but it also takes a hummed melody, a tapped beat, or an uploaded recording - the phone's microphone is the reason the app is genuinely better than the website for starting ideas.
Since May you also get a Vocal Gender selector, a Lyrics Model picker, and Memory, which keeps your last prompt loaded so you can adjust one word instead of retyping the lot.
Save, share or download
Press and hold a track for the full menu - Publish, Add to playlist, Rename, Get Stems, Download. Files land in your usual Downloads folder and appear in your phone's music app straight away.
The app also shares directly to Instagram, TikTok and WhatsApp, and it's the only place you'll find the Android Auto hook-up.
The two things the app won't tell you
Neither of these is a bug, and neither produces an error message. They're design decisions that silently change what you end up with.
The app never gives you WAV
Tap Download on a paid plan and you'd expect the lossless file you're paying for. You get an MP3. No warning, no error, no greyed-out option explaining why - on any plan, on any Android version.
WAV export exists only on suno.com in a desktop browser. People have sent compressed audio to distributors without realising. If the file is going anywhere except your own headphones, download it on a computer.
Studio 2.0 will not open on a phone
Premier's headline feature - the browser DAW with MIDI, stem editing and uncapped exports - has a hard 768px minimum screen width, and Suno's own documentation states plainly that mobile devices are not supported.
A tablet in landscape clears the bar. A phone doesn't, in either orientation. If you subscribed to Premier for Studio, you subscribed for something that needs a bigger screen.

Things that only matter on Android
Android Auto
Since 13 May the app appears in your car's native interface. Browse the library, play your own tracks and control playback from the dashboard - streaming only, not generation, which is the right call at 70mph.
Billing runs through Google Play
Subscribe in the app and Google is the merchant, not Suno. Cancel from Play Store → Profile → Payments and subscriptions - cancelling on suno.com won't touch it, and refunds go through Google's policy.
Where the files go
Straight to /Downloads, and they show up in your phone's music player and file manager without any extra step. Android is noticeably less fiddly than iOS here.
MOD APKs and "Suno Premium unlocked"
Search the app's name with the word APK and you'll find dozens of sites offering a modified build with "unlimited credits" and "premium unlocked". We don't link to any of them. Here's what's actually going on, so you can make the call yourself.
Suno generates music on its servers, and your credit balance lives on your account, not on your phone. A modified client can change what the interface displays; it cannot change what the server will do. Every "unlimited credits" claim is either a re-skinned free tier or a straight lie.
A modified APK is signed by whoever modified it and can read anything you type into it - including your Suno or Google password. The one thing it definitely does have access to is the credentials you enter at the login screen.
Driving the service through an unofficial client runs against Suno's terms, and the account carries your library, your Personas, your Voices and your subscription. Losing it to save a subscription fee is a poor trade.
Since the 3 September 2026 terms update, commercial rights attach to an official download obtained through Suno while on a paid plan. Audio pulled out any other way is excluded - so even if a modded build worked exactly as advertised, you'd end up with tracks you couldn't release. More on that on the Suno downloader page.

Is there an official Suno app for Android?

What's the latest version?
1.84.1, released 13 August 2026. Updates ship most weeks. If something in a release note isn't showing up for you, check for an update before anything else.
Is the Android app free?
The app costs nothing and the free tier gives you daily credits, MP3 downloads and Voices. Pro and Premier are in-app purchases through Google Play, and they unlock WAV on the web, higher download limits and commercial use.
Can I use Suno Studio on my phone?
No. Studio 2.0 requires a minimum 768px screen width and Suno states that mobile devices aren't supported. A tablet in landscape works; a phone doesn't.
Does the app work offline?
No. Generation happens on Suno's servers, so creating anything needs a connection. Files you've already downloaded play offline like any other music on your phone.
Should I download a Suno APK?
Only from Google Play. Modified builds can't unlock server-side credits, they can read your password, and using one puts the account itself at risk. There's nothing on the other side of that trade.
Why can't I download WAV in the app?
WAV export is desktop-web only. The app returns an MP3 on every plan, with no warning. Download on a computer at suno.com when the quality matters.
Can I sing on my own songs from the phone?
Yes, since 7 August 2026. Voices reached iOS and Android together - record your voice once and use it on any track. Free accounts get it too, with more on paid plans. Needs app version 1.83.0 or later.
Do songs sync between the app and the website?
Automatically - it's one account and one library. Just make sure you're signing in the same way on both; a Google sign-in and an email sign-in on the same address are two different accounts.
How do I cancel a subscription bought in the app?
Through Google Play, not Suno. Play Store → your profile picture → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions → Suno → Cancel. Cancelling on suno.com doesn't stop a Play-billed subscription.
Does it work with Android Auto?
Yes, since 13 May 2026. You can browse your library, stream your songs and control playback from the car's screen. It's playback only - you can't generate while driving.
Is the app as good as the website?
For starting songs it's arguably better - the microphone lets you hum or tap an idea straight in. For finishing them the browser wins: WAV, bulk export, the Duration slider, the full lyrics tools and Studio 2.0 all live there.
Make something on the way home
The app is free, it's 31 MB, and the fastest song you'll write this week is the one you hum into your phone at a bus stop. Finish it on a laptop later.
